Our Story

Born From a Love of Love

Married on Maui started because we kept seeing the same problem. Couples would fly to Maui, fall in love with the island, then try to plan a wedding from 2,500 miles away with no local contacts and no idea where to start. We built this company to be that local contact.

We have planned over 500 weddings on this island. We know which beaches face west for sunset ceremonies, which vendors actually show up on time, and which Maui wedding venues book out a year in advance. That kind of knowledge only comes from doing this work, year after year, on the ground.

Our wedding planning services cover everything from full planning to day-of coordination. Whether you are bringing 150 guests or eloping with just the two of you, we handle the permits, the vendors, the timeline, and the backup plan for when trade winds decide to pick up. You focus on the reason you are here.

If you are early in the process and not sure what you need, take our wedding planning quiz or book a free consultation. We will talk through your vision and give you an honest answer about what it takes to make it happen.

The Maui Experience

Why Maui

The light here is different. Late afternoon sun turns everything gold, and the Pacific does the rest. That is why couples keep choosing this island.

Our Values

Local knowledge

We live here. We know the permit offices, the backup venues when weather changes, and which florist grows the best protea on Kula.

Honest planning

We tell you what things actually cost and what is realistic for your timeline. No surprises at the end.

Your wedding, your way

Some couples want a 200-person luau. Others want 20 minutes on the beach with nobody watching. We plan both with the same care.

Redd Silva

Redd Silva

Co-Founder & Owner

As co-founder of Married on Maui LLC, Redd takes a hands-on approach to every wedding. He grew up around Hawaiian culture and brings that respect into how he works with couples, whether they want a barefoot ceremony on the beach or a full weekend celebration. His goal for the company is straightforward: handle the planning so couples can actually enjoy the experience.

Kai Nakamura

Kai Nakamura

Creative Director

Kai studied fine art before moving into interior design, and that background shows in everything he touches. He handles design concepts, mood boards, and all the visual details, turning what a couple describes over coffee into something they actually see on their wedding day. Invitation suites, ceremony installations, tablescapes, lighting. He has been featured in Brides Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, and Honolulu Magazine.

Malia Santos

Malia Santos

Day-of Coordinator

Malia came up through event production and hospitality management, so live-event chaos is just Tuesday for her. She runs vendor arrivals, ceremony cueing, reception transitions, and all the logistics that nobody thinks about until something goes wrong. Couples and vendors both say the same thing: she is calm when things get hectic, and she catches problems before anyone else notices them. She grew up on O'ahu, came to Maui for a friend's wedding, and never left.

Noa Chen

Noa Chen

Floral Designer

Noa taught herself floral design, and her arrangements have a loose, sculptural quality that feels distinctly Hawaiian. She sources most of her blooms from small Maui farms and her own garden in Kula, where she grows king protea, heliconia, tuberose, and plumeria. Her work leans organic: overflowing ceremony arches, garden-style bouquets, hanging installations that stop conversations. She composts every stem after each event.
